My wife and I had a wonderful gourmet meal at Roy's. We both ate fish dishes. The butterfish dish is to dream for and the chocolate souffle is to die for. The food is more delicate and tastes better than French cuisine. We are permanent residents in Naples. Roy's is the best restaurant here. The food is superb and the service excellent. What Mike Dociu doesn't like about Roy's Naples:
Worst dining experience in 10 years. Server was uninformed, arrogant, and rude. Most of the food was unpalatable, the shrimp tasted of Iodine had a funky odor about them, no doubt at least 9 days old. The rice was under cooked, vegetables over cooked, the sauces were more like pastes, and the bill for our party of 5 could easily cover a lease payment on a BMW. This is one of the worst restaurants in Naples, I should... View all feedback.
The tableware was exquisite. The food was a work of art and the fusion of all the flavors was magnificent. What a treat!
My husband and I heard great things about Roy 's Downtown Naples. It was my husband’s birthday so we decided to give Roy 's a try. I called to make a reservation and was asked if we were celebrating anything special. So I told the hostess about my husband 's Birthday. When we arrived we were greeted with a very warm and genuine Aloha . We were seated by friendly staff members who all wished my husband a Happy Birthday! (WOW) The menu was personalized with his name and Happy Birthday (in Hawaiian) on the top of the menu.(Another WOW) Since this was our first ever visit to a Roy 's we were not familiar with the cuisine. But after our well informed server (Mark) explained the menu and offered recommendations we felt as though we would not be disappointed. We ordered what Mark recommended and it was fabulous. The Calamari and the sushi roll were the best. Our Parmesan Crusted Shutome (swordfish) and the Blackened Ahi Tuna were to die for. When Mark brought the dessert out, the Hot Chocolate Souflee, “Happy Birthday was on the plate, in chocolate, and it came with a lighted candle. Mark then came over with a camera and took our picture. He returned a few minutes later with the picture in a Roy 's picture frame. (Another WOW) I could continue on about how great the night was but I will sum it up shortly...... The best dining experience we have had in Naples and anywhere else for that matter. We felt like regulars even though it was our first time. I HIGHLY recommend Roy 's to everyone.
