It was very tasty, although the photo doesn't look very appealing. You have more vegetarian options in the many and I think if you ask, they could do some things without cheese. It took a long time to get the waiter's attention to order but the food arrived fast enough and was nice. The service sadly wasn't great so would put me off returning unless it was to improve.

There is one vegan pizza marinara on the menu, but also pasta with chickpeas, pasta with beans, pasta with potatoes ! and salad with grilled vegetables. I order... read more There is one vegan pizza marinara on the menu, but also pasta with chickpeas, pasta with beans, pasta with potatoes ! and salad with grilled vegetables. I ordered pasta and salad, but my order never arrived while most of my group already finished their pizzas, although we asked the waiter to inquire. It took a trip to the kitchen to finally get my order. The pasta portion was very small and basic. One can order fruit for dessert and that was good but also took forever to arrive while others got their cake quickly.

I ate at Pizza e Baba tonight. The food is very typical of restaurants in this part of Naples, pizza crusts just a bit more burnt and food just a bit more oily. Service though was terrible. The guy who served us, Salvatore I think, seemed to be the manager or owner. He completely refused to engage with my questions (in attempted Italian might I add) about which pasta might be vegan. He left the table part way through our order, threw a bag of bread at us and snatched the menus from my wife. Our table felt like it was about to collapse, and the copious broken glass under the table was testament to it having happened previously. A younger guy working there did speak English and tried to help us but apparently wasn 't allowed to take orders. He was polite and happy, but seemed to be badly mistreated by Salvatore . Was it because he was Asian? We 'll never know. Basically don 't bother with this place, there are many, many similar places about that are much better. One last thing, Salvatore hovered over me while I paid and made sure I knew through a translator that his service wasn 't included he must have been dreaming!
