5.0 / 5 (10 reviews)

Description

Nestled along Naperville’s scenic Riverwalk, downtown offers a well‑kept, compact dining scene with al fresco options, shops, regular events and easy free parking. Visitors praise attentive service, comforting new spots and classic favorites, making it ideal for families, couples and casual celebrations. The streets and sidewalks are beautifully maintained and the riverfront adds a relaxed, scenic charm. Music and cultural variety are somewhat limited, but the area’s accessibility and community feel keep it a reliably pleasant small‑city destination.

Very nice and comfy downtown, with some good restaurants. It is very much like a city but lacks the amount of diversity. There is not many great places to see music, except wentz concert hall, which is not used nearly enough. I highly recommend that you visit.

Newest restaurant is Chez Francois Poutinerie located at 22 E. Chicago Avenue. TRUE French/Canadian poutines here! This special place hires handicapped individuals and serves the best comfort food downtown. You will not be disappointed in the food or the service. Eat well and help promote this new venture!

Parking was a breeze! I really appreciated that there was no need to parallel park and worry about getting hit. I’ll definitely return downtown for another visit when I’m in the area.
