Pepe's Mexican - Naperville

I went for dinner and was really impressed by how friendly everyone was. The service was attentive, and our food arrived quickly—definitely a welcome change from the long waits at most places! After dinner, we enjoyed a few drinks on the bar side, which had a welcoming atmosphere and the same level of attentive service. It’s a perfect spot for both food and entertainment. It definitely doesn't feel like a chain restaurant; instead, it offers a cozy experience that makes you feel like they’ll remember you on your next visit. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I’ll definitely be going back! Thanks for a wonderful night out!

I visited Pepe's for a birthday celebration and had a fantastic time. The food was delightful, and I particularly loved the rice. However, the highlight of my visit was the warm welcome from the staff; it's clear they work well together, which is essential for a successful restaurant. We enjoyed dinner in the dining area and then headed to the bar, where we had a great time playing pool, darts, and enjoying drinks and music. Overall, the atmosphere was wonderful.

This placing is attempting to recreate authentic Mexican food but does a very poor job at it. I ordered nachos and the cheese did not even come melted. My friend's tacos seemed like they were not seasoned. The worst part of all is that their food gave mefood poisoning. Very horrible experience. Do NOT go to this restaurant.

The steak tacos used to be outstanding, with thinly sliced meat sourced from a local distributor. Unfortunately, now they feature chunky, gristly meat that lacks flavor. I really appreciate the owners and staff, but as of today, I can't recommend the tacos.

I believe this may be under new ownership. My wife and I have been coming here for over 18 years and tonight was the last. Food was like right out of the refrigerator. Sent it back and when it came back they forgot half the meal. Service was extremely slowand other customers were waving their hands in the air just to be noticed. What a horrible shame. Bye bye!
