Enjoyed this place for years and a great concept. I remember when they first opened and there were long lines that people were willing to stand in for the great ice cream. I’m happy and surprised they made it through a COVID but the harshness of downtown ice cream businesses that have come and gone. A bit pricey but explainable based on the location. View all feedback.
What Aron Champlin doesn't like about Cold Stone Creamery:
Worst experience I faced in this cold stone shop!!!! I ordered the customised cake for my daughter birthday three days earlier in this store to pick up. One day before birthday evening i went to shop to pickup the cake,They said sorry!!!! We gave order to make this cake outside. But,they didn't handover to us and started saying they will refund my money back...I felt very bad in-front of my daughter in that situation... View all feedback.
The service provided by the staff was excellent, but I was concerned about how the manager treated the employees. It was a busy Saturday night, yet the team did their best, and from what I observed, they weren't doing anything wrong. One of the workers appeared quite young—perhaps around 15—and the so-called manager said, “He’s new, speak slowly; he can only remember one taste at a time.” The young worker looked like he was on the verge of tears. Additionally, I overheard the manager telling another employee, “If they don't show up for work, then they can take the night off.” There were girls in line ahead of us who mentioned they often come here and had seen this same manager upset the staff before. My friend and I had intended to get ice cream, but after witnessing how the employees were treated, we decided to leave.
The staff at this restaurant seemed unsure about the menu. The portion sizes were on the smaller side, barely reaching the top of the cup rather than being stacked like in most places. We arrived at 9:50 PM, and while they served us, they mentioned that they were closing soon, even though it was not yet 9:55. The sign clearly stated that they were open until 10 PM.
The ice itself was great, but the overall experience was lacking. It seemed like there was no management present during our visit, as we didn't see a manager or supervisor. The front door was broken, and there was a handwritten note instructing customers to open and close it themselves when entering or leaving. One of the staff members was flirting with two young customers throughout our time there; she crossed her legs and leaned against the side instead of using the front door, which appeared very unprofessional. Additionally, she gave the two young patrons free ice and sat with them for a while. There was only one employee who worked consistently from start to finish, and he was pleasant and checked on us. However, it was clear there was no authority or organization in the establishment, as the staff seemed to do whatever they wanted in a very casual manner.
Probably the best ice that loves the whole family. many aromes we can't find anywhere. definitiw to get our first choice in the ice.
