We've eaten many crepes over the years, but those we had at the Creperie St Leonard were among the best ever. There was an excellent, interesting and varied menu with all the ingredients being fresh and sourced locally. The service was friendly and quick and the ambience of the small restaurant very pleasant. View all feedback.
What Anastasie Ribeiro doesn't like about Creperie Saint Leonard:
We ate this Sunday noon and the kitchen is correct, very generous. the service is effective, however I want to lift my hat to the young aurora waitress who has a lot of courage to bear the behavior and remarks on the part of the boss who is not very friendly with her (and that in front of the customers) ...We found her work very professional and she is very kind. This creperie is in a pedestrian area and has a wide choice of galettes and crepes as well as salads. We ate on the terrace which is perfect to watch the locals and tourists walking nearby. The food was excellent with a very quick service and very reasonable prices. We had a very enjoyable lunch and will be back!
The menu is varied and offers good value for money in an area that can be a bit pricey. Galettes, crepes, salads, etc. Would recommend the Cafe Gourmand - a little bit of naughtiness with a coffee for 5 euros !Would recommend. Service excellent too.

The Creperie Saint Leonard is easily found in the Quartier Decre which is a pleasant youthful eating and drinking area in the centre of Nantes. To be honest it probably looks a little out of place amongst the mainly trendy (and let it be said, more expensive!) establishments that have grown up around it. It is probably not the place to be seen in Nantes by the young and trendy and it will certainly not do anything for your hip image. I suppose the decor could be said to have some retro chic about it if you really wanted to stretch the truth. However, Creperie Saint Leonard will certainly do a lot for your wallet or purse, as this is a nice, place to eat extremely well, in authentic Breton style, at honest prices right in the heart of the city. The staff are genuinely helpful and accommodating and very friendly. If your French never progressed beyond what you learnt in Form 2B at school then you will definitely welcome helpful translated menu's and staff who helpfully speak a little English. The food, which is based around savoury galettes and sweet crepes is freshly cooked and delicious. The draught Breton cidre (cider) is delicious and a large pichet (jug) is a true bargain. If you prefer beer then they stock artisan beer brewed in the pretty seaside town of Pornic. I think you can always judge an establishment by its washroom and the WC at Creperie Saint Leonard is absolutely spotless with lovely perfumed soap lots of hot water and plentiful paper towels. Nantes is a great city but is not cheap. If you are on a budget and find yourself wanting to eat out then you can do a lot worse than enjoy a truly authentic Breton meal in the Creperie Saint Leonard.
While sipping some local cider you can taste both savoury and sweet pancakes in this traditional place!
