The light to... read more This is a family restaurant in more than just being comfortable for families; the proprietors' small daughter was proudly helping clean the tables! The light touch of decor also brought a fresh feeling, including a brightly colored children's rain boot to hold the final bill....I selected the fixed-price menu of Lorraine specialities, choosing the combination of quiche Lorraine, shepherd's pie (a different quiche), and pâte Lorraine, which also came with a simple salad. I finished off with a delicious and light dessert, the mirabelle-plum gratin. A glass of kir or local Toul red wine plus coffee were part of the fixed-price menu, but I can't drink coffee and need to have white wine, so they cheerfully offered to substitute with a nice dry white.

We went there and were lucky enough to get the last free table inside, it can be a good idea to book. This small restaurant is located in the old town, close...to Place Stanislas. The staff is very friendly and the decoration lovely. I had some home made foie gras first, very nice. Then I had one of the baked cheeses (reblochon) with potatoes and cold cuts, all ingredients are high qualizy. One of my friends had the pate lorrain (local pastry with minced meat and other stuffs inside) and the other one a tartine, kind of oven toasted piece of bread with cheese, ham and salad. For dessert, I had the mirabelle gratin and a friend a small selection of their desserts, mini sized. We were all very satisfied, food is very tasty and prices not high.
