The experience was great, the atmosphere was great, and the service employees were more than great. Asteras is in an old house in the historic part of town, and is one busy place. This was my first time and the wonderful sounds and smells were very inviting. The meals were generous and the service was prompt. It was a simple menu with authentic greek entrees and appetizers. Was expecting something great from the reviews, but was not impressed. Had the lamb souvlaki which was undercooked and not much of it for $27 (asked for medium and it was served medium rare). Potatoes were very salty. Was treating a friend who ordered well-done lamb and it was served medium. We both took the least cooked lamb pieces home to cook to our liking. Won’t be back.
