Pho Thi Vietnamese - Nanaimo

The massive salat rolls are the best. the shells are also great.

Always eager to try a new place. Clean, well decorated place with lots of parking if you can find your way down the narrow back alley. I ordered the pho with rare beef and tendon. It was very nicely done. The broth was excellent, with a silky feel and buttery richness. I enjoyed my tendon which still had a little crunch. My wife had a rice plate with an assortment of meat including something new to us, the egg meatloaf. It was very tasty. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Other than location, I think this place could be competitive. Prices reasonable as well.

The Pho was pretty good. Lots of noodles but not much beef. Ok broth. The staff was super, really nice kids. I kind of know of the guy who owns it, he's grumpy.

Pho size is fine. Price is fine. Taste was good as well. Vegetables were not fresh and had some areas that were almost rotten. If not for that would give more stars. Not sure if that is normal there or if they just were not paying attention today.

The place is quaint and interesting. Service was good. The food is bland and boring. Shredded lettuce and cucumber as the vegetables, yuk ! A few carrot shreds. No flavour to anything. A lot of white colourless noodles and vegetables. I expected flavour and perhaps spice. Very white bread. Sadly disappointed.
