I enjoyed a late lunch/early dinner at this restaurant, where I had rice, lentil curry, and potatoes cooked in cumin. The service was fast, the food was fresh, and the portions were very generous. It's a fantastic spot for authentic Indian cuisine that reminds me of home-cooked meals. View all feedback.
What Astonangel doesn't like about Ashiana Vegetarian:
We went to dinner and ordered a couple of the specials of the day (each day offers a different special). The chicken dish was good, but the dosa was mediocre. This is the first restaurant I have been to where the dosa was just average. The sabhar was also just okay, and the chili paneer looked appetizing but was just okay in taste. The dahi vada were quite bland and we had to add extra chutneys to give them flavor. O... View all feedback.
That was the best meal I had in Kenya for two weeks. The mixed bhajia were fresh and crispy, and there was a wide selection of fillings. They made sure that I only got vegan Chutneys, although the Mint Chutney had yogurt by default. The garlic masala dosa was also great in taste and texture. The Sambar was the only thing that was good, but not great. Service was excellent, friendly and attentive. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.
I recently had the best meal of my two-week trip to Kenya at this restaurant. The mixed bhajia was fresh and crispy, with a wide variety of fillings to choose from. The staff made sure to provide me with vegan chutneys, although the mint chutney contained yogurt by default. The garlic masala dosa was also delicious in both flavor and texture. While the sambar was good, it wasn't outstanding. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. I would definitely return without hesitation.
Great restaurant in Nairobi that offers vegetarian options.
We had dinner and tried some of the daily specials at this restaurant (each day offers a different special). The chichi was delicious. However, the dhosa was average, the first time I've had it like that in a restaurant. The sabhar was okay. The chili dish looked appetizing but ended up being just okay. The dhahi-vada was bland and needed to be eaten with chutneys to add flavor. The service was excellent.

The dahi vada were quite bland and we had to add extra chutneys to give them flavor. On the bright side, the service was excellent.
