What User doesn't like about Pub Niska:
Great, clean tiny bread. When we put tin bread on the table, we needed garlic and the answer came: it should have been requested at the time of the order. Very few customers, three comments, an incomprehensible garlic. View all feedback.
Not too friendly service this time. Baked in pizza was partly raw. Other pizzas were good. Was offered a discount for the raw pizza fortunately.
If you are searching for an exceptional dining experience in Turku, Finland, I am delighted to share that your quest may well be over. I recently had the pleasure of dining at a charming riverside restaurant that truly embodies the essence of the city with its exceptional cuisine and beautiful scenery. Nestled alongside the scenic Aura River, this quaint eatery has expertly combined the concept of casual dining with arguably the finest pizzas in Turku. From the moment you step foot inside, the warm, welcoming ambiance sets the tone for what is bound to be a truly unforgettable culinary journey. The first thing to strike you is the restaurant's picturesque location. The spectacular view of the Aura River provides a calming backdrop that is nothing short of mesmerizing, further enhancing the dining experience. As the river gently flows by, the setting sun dapples the water's surface with hues of orange and gold, creating a soothing spectacle to enjoy with your meal. Now, let's talk about the highlight of this riverside eatery the pizzas. Each slice served here is a testament to the art of pizza making. The dough, perfectly leavened, bakes into a crust that is just the right mix of crispy and chewy. The toppings, fresh and flavorful, are artfully arranged, creating a vibrant mosaic of colors and textures on every pie. The chefs here have managed to hit the bullseye in creating an irresistible balance between traditional pizza elements and innovative, regional flair. The freshness of the ingredients is notable, creating a symphony of flavors that resonate with every bite. The tomato sauce is tangy and robust, a tribute to simplicity, while the generous use of local cheeses adds a creamy, indulgent element to each pizza. And then there are the unique, daring toppings that ensure each pizza has its distinctive personality a variety of offerings that cater to the adventurous and traditional pizza lover alike. Service at this eatery is also commendable. The staff is friendly and attentive, contributing to an overall inviting atmosphere. They make an effort to ensure that every patron feels special, further amplifying the personal, intimate feel of this riverside pizzeria. Overall, dining at this riverside restaurant in Turku is more than just about eating pizza – it's about immersing yourself in a cultural experience, one that encompasses the beauty of the Aura River and the culinary artistry of some of the best pizzas you will find in Turku, and possibly, in Finland. My advice? Make it a point to visit. Come for the pizzas, stay for the scenery, and leave with memories of a fantastic gastronomic experience by the Aura River
Basic Moilas gluten free pizza with artesan prices. Seeing the praising comments for their regular pizzas, was disappointed finding out they did not have a proper gluten free pizza, but the frozen Moilas pre-made, dry pizza. Seagulls attacking the terrace seemed to be a real problem, as the staff did not pick up the plates and food fast enough, nor did customers bring them in when done. The regular pizza was good (or so I was told), this review is towards the gluten free option.
Ceasarsallad was good, full and enough for a days dinner. Service was kind and swift and the setting was also nice. We liked it.
Food was a bit inconsistent. I ordered Hilda beetroot and goat cheese pizza which was really delicious and our daughter ordered Algoth that was good. My partner ordered calzone that should've stayed a bit longer in the oven as it was slightly raw. Restaurant was empty inside but terrace full and that might be the reason service seemed a bit out of balance. Customer communication was friendly.
