Was Rosemarie Chua at Liz-e Kitchen a mag?
I've been there twice, and each time I've thoroughly enjoyed the food. The lenggua estofado, crispy pinakbet with lechon kawali, and sinampalukang manok were all fantastic. My favorite starter was a delicious fried lumpia served with noodles, although I can't remember its exact name. Love the garden setting outside, foods were delicious too, ambiance is so cozy with lots of parking spaces not too crowdy like in the city proper. Mist-try!
