I was here twice. the first visit was disappointing, as the owner/kitchen had a bad job, but it seems as if it were just a bad day for him. I tried to lunch again today, and I was impressed with her service (two new beautiful waitresses). eating was also better and very happy with their overall performance. the owner/cook understands what vegan means and easy to order vegan meal. spiciness was for japanese (which is nice for me,) so they ask for extra sharp if they like it spicy. I look forward to going back there.
Huge fan this plan. it is easy to make everything vegan and the standard plate is in the usually completely vegan, except for chai, but even if it does not understand the personal what it is from vegan and is happy to accommodate. eating is very different than its standard Japanese Indian restaurant. it is very similar to the Indian food I am used in nyc. the midday plate is delicious and affordable with a lot of different means of life. they always give you gigantic free seconds that I actually had to lose because it's just too much for me! this restaurant is also very child-friendly as they have a community room upstairs, that is more zashiki (i.e. sitting on the floor) style, where they tend to put families with children, while below it is table / table style. I don't feel uncomfortable when my children are a little rambunctious upside down, because the other customers in the wild little children have their own. even if they don't speak Japanese, I'm pretty sure that the owner can speak English and often there is a young (college student Indian waiter who speaks definitiw English).
We had a fantastic lunch at this restaurant. I ordered the fish curry which was absolutely amazing. My wife tried the egg curry and described it as "delicious." The dosa was very flavorful and had a crispy texture. The owners were extremely friendly, warm, and hospitable.
After sampling several Indian restaurants in Nagoya, we decided to try Karnataka. The dosa combination for dinner was fantastic, and it comes with unlimited rice and sambar. The owners are fluent in English. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
