Was Anonym at Carton House a mag?
I started with the pheasant starter, followed by the venison sausage for the main course, and finished with a bread and butter pudding. Everything was flawless. All three dishes were exceptional, and even the pint of Guinness was perfectly poured. View all feedback.

Service was quite average. Despite the restaurant being relatively empty with only a few tables occupied, the staff spent most of their time chatting behind the bar, making it difficult to order drinks. We had to seek out employees rather than being approached by them. Thought the food was a bit average for à restaurant located in such a nice setting. It would have been a random restaurant, it would have been fine, being located in high end facilities and being one of the only onsite food options, it was lacking some peps . The curry, rice and nan were definitely a catastrophe, but it got better with the veg burger and salmon. Great idea to serve the salmon with seaweed. The rabbit terrine was bland, which was silly because it would have been really good otherwise. The pudding was nice and filling. Staff was very sweet and attentive. Had an old fashioned and it was good as well.

Amazing celebration lunch. Friendly prompt service. All meals were amazing and good portions. We pre ordered a cake and so impressed with presentation and taste.
I enjoyed a fantastic lunch with my family following a visit to the Carton House Spa. The food was exceptionally tasty, and the service was excellent. We felt truly well cared for. The wine was also reasonably priced. We will certainly be returning.
