My girlfriend and I were very happy with our experience. The food was exceptional. They cooked my steak exactly how I wanted it. My girlfriend loved the key lime pie for dessert. Very pretty views of the ocean. Our waiter, Edan, was incredible. He greeted us, made us feel welcome, and was very thorough and considerate of our needs. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Myrtle Beach. View all feedback.
What Feesh ForLife doesn't like about Wicked Tuna 2nd Avenue Pier:
The food was really good but the prices are ridiculously high. Average dish costs over $30.00. Catch of the day was $52.00! The burger was $18.00! When I win the lottery I'll eat there again. Lol Great service though. Trevor was a very accommodating waiter. The views of the ocean are amazing! We ate at the lower level, the decor was really beautiful. View all feedback.
We were pretty happy with our dining experience. We stopped in for an early dinner and were immediately seated near the windows overlooking the beach. We got the Water-Melon and Strawberry Kiwi Mojito cocktails with an order of Pork Gyoza, Seaweed Salad, Mussels, and a Salmon Crunch Roll.Pros:-Overall each dish was very tasty and we finished just about everything we ordered.-The food came out quickly and all at the same time which we prefer).-The portions were great; I 've never had such a large serving of seaweed salad, which is one of my faves!-The gyoza was yummy, crispy on the outside but still juicy and flavorful on the inside. Plenty of sauce too.-You get a discount on the cost of walking the attached pier if you show your receipt from the restaurant.Cons:-The restaurant was pretty warm even though they had several blinds closed/lowered and 2 large fans going. It was slightly uncomfortable.-There were mutliple errors on the menu. Avacado instead of avocado, freid instead of fried, and more punctuation errors/missing spaces as well.-The entrees seemed a little pricey $40-50) which is why we ordered from the app and sushi menu because we ended up getting 4 dishes and 2 cocktails for about the same price as 2 entrees alone.-I ordered the Mussels and they were kinda spicy even though the menu didn 't say anything about it. It was described as a creamy tomato bacon broth, and I also did not taste bacon. The spice wasn 't a problem for us, still ate all of them. My husband had a couple and didn 't notice the spice he loves spicy) and they were piping hot so I thought maybe that was why but after eating the rest of them I still thought they were kinda spicy. So just be cautious about ordering them or mention something to the waiter if you prefer zero spice. Ultimately I wouldn 't order them again because I just didn 't think the flavor profile held up as well as the classic garlic and white wine broth, but kudos for them trying something different.
Food was great! There was a lovely live musician and the drinks were good.
My group was total 11 people. Appetizer and everyone's main dishes were served quickly. For the starter, fried calamari was good and other appetizer, wicked shrimp (fried breaded shrimp in sweet spicy sauce) was even better. We ate at indoor table and music was little loud. Temperature wasn't really cool with A.C., either.Parking: Some are paid parkings and some are free.
We went to Wicked Tuna on 8/11 and it was phenomenal. We had a huge party of 9 and it was the perfect atmosphere. The view was spectacular and our server, Amber, was super nice! Food tasted wonderful and we were afraid our kids would be loud, but it was idyllic for kids; not too loud where you can’t talk or hear but loud enough where we wouldn’t annoy other guests. Highly recommend to the pier while waiting and walking it to pass the time plus you get a discount! We made reservations online which was painless! Definitely going to go back!
We spent a week at myrtle beach, and I think this was likely the best restaurant we ate at. We chose to sit on the top floor in the bar area. The view is nice and the atmosphere is great! Our server was excellent. The entrees are kind of on the higher priced side, so we opted to share appetizers and sushi. They have so many appetizer options to choose from that it was hard to decide. The pork gyoza are fried, not steamed. The dragon egg is delicious but very rich so make sure you have enough people to share if you are interested in that one. Finally, if you go to this restaurant and do not order the MUSSELS, you are absolutely doing it wrong. These mussels are, in fact, life changing. As a side note, we also opted for dessert, and the tiramisu was excellent. Overall, a great dinner.
