This restaurant operates like a well-oiled machine. We arrived right when they opened and waited about half an hour. The staff was friendly and pleasant, and the chef was fantastic! I think he would do even better if he didn't have to wear a mask, as he seemed uncomfortable. The portions were large, and we all took home leftovers which helped justify the price. However, the saki mai tai was warm and not very good. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Miyabi Japanese:
eating is good. the personal is very friendly and nice to the customers. in the worst part they have no reservation system or a good way to track the waiting list to the summer system. our waiting time was more than 90 minutes and in the lobby more than 70 people waited for the table. another thing is that they do not have good exhaust or air conditioning for Hibachi tables. It's getting pretty hot. View all feedback.
The food was mediocre, though tasty, but the management is severely lacking. If the wait time is quoted at 30 min be prepared to wait closer to 1.5 hours, because at any point Kirk, the general manager, may decide to seat people that were not planned/expected or waiting. When we confronted him about it, he was unapologetic and said it was the “owner’s request.” A little kindness and humility would have been appropriate. The meal was very rice heavy, minimal vegetables, and no palate cleanse (sherbet) at the end. The proteins were standard for this style restaurant, and the chef was friendly but there was nothing particularly special or entertaining about the service. We made the best of our night, but we will not be coming back in the future. There are far too many options in the Myrtle Beach area! I would rather spend my money in an establishment that offers better value and appreciates its customers. I encourage you to do the same!

The food was incredibly delicious and portions were much bigger than expected! The cocktails were also excellent, with a nice, strong kick.
We did not dine at this restaurant this year. When we tried to eat there, we were informed that their sushi chef had left and they were not serving sushi.
Make sure to request Kenny as your server! You won't be let down. Make sure to arrive with a big appetite because you'll be served a generous amount of food. This was by far the best dining experience we've ever had. Kenny did an excellent job!
