Was in town and was looking for a good burger. We went in and noticed that the kitchen could be seen from the bar and we sat in the bar area. They grill burgers on a flat top! This is my favorite way to have a burger. Had the double Cheeseburger all the way that Chili had. The burger was very good. Will definitely go back when returning to the city View all feedback.
What Jaquelin Nolan doesn't like about Hamburger Joes:
Better Burger Sonic. My family of 4 ate here on our way back from Brookgreen Gardens. It was a huge disappointment. With a name like Hamburger Joe's you would think these would be homemade burgers. Not the case, they might have been a step above soybean burgers??? There was nothing special about these burgers, we could have gotten cheaper and better Sonic. The only good thing was the beer was cold. View all feedback.
I thought I published this a few weeks ago, but I couldn't find it. If you haven't tried, you're missing something really great food and service. Everything we've eaten so far was so good. Hamburger, wings, onion rings. And the best cold beer. The staff is so friendly. You have to try!

We love Hamburg Joe's, this is our favorite place to go as a local. I lost how many times we eat here. Yesterday was the 28th April at 3:00 the best food we've ever received. The new chefs (the new ones because we have never seen them in this place) was the best!! Please stop them. And as always our waitress was great. We tell tourists all the time to try your burgers.
Love this place!!! For almost 20 years come!! It's a family tradition. It's not a holiday without getting 3 or 4 times. Now my son brings his children and it is their tradition!! The waiting staff is wonderful!! Only cannot say enough wonderful things and cannot imagine how many dollars our family has there!!!
Hamburger Joe’s Surfside has been our go to since the doors opened. The best gold wings that you have ever tasted!!!! Family friendly, great staff!
