we were in the hotel and had a chance to taste many different dishes, but I wish we had a little more time to try all! the highlight was that since then steak. the best I've ever tried by far! the staff is very friendly and they made us welcome. the place is exceptionally clean, minimal, in a quiet opposite. it was all we needed, beautiful pool view and warm environment. we are coming back in a definitiw. What User doesn't like about Koukoumi Vegan:
I think it's great that this place is both a vegan hotel and restaurant. The food was decent, though some of the options were a bit unusual. However, I found the prices to be on the higher side. View all feedback.
I was really excited to try this high-end vegan restaurant, which is also a vegan hotel. There were some lovely ideas and some of the food was delicious, but I think it could be improved. When I eat out I want to see vegetables centre stage. There were a lot of meat and fish substitutes, like watermelon tuna and mushroom scallops. They were trying so hard to mimic these foods that I think the overall quality was reduced. There was a delicious ‘amuse bouche’ which was umami perfection. It had elements of sushi and caviar. I had a delicious starter of smoky aubergine, which was bang on. My partner’s starter of cannabis bread with gooseberry cream and truffles was interesting and a good flavour combination. The main course was smaller than the starters. Mine was ‘explosive secret’: 4 tiny ravioli, with apparently missing spherical vegetables. The ‘Parmesan crisps’ were not a nice texture but the crispy tofu was nice. My partner had ‘Against the waves’ mushroom scallops. The mushroom scallops were not a pleasant texture: they could have been savoury-sweet with umami, but they not rounded in flavour. The seaweed was good though, but overall too much fishiness! Because the portions were small (we were warned, but were still surprised because they were VERY small), we both had desserts. These were huge! My partner had the delicious ‘Moon Shot’ which was as good a dessert as the best tiramisu. I had ‘Lava Land’, a self-saucing chocolate pudding with a mysteriously mushroomy aroma. There was delicious pistachio icecream. I found the fondant pudding very heavy, rich and sweet after such light savoury courses and left feeling a bit sick! It really pains me to leave this review because I love what they are trying to do. I do want this fine dining vegan experience, but don’t want to lose the satisfaction of really good cooking and balance of flavours. More local flavours and ideas would also be welcome: there are so many possibilities from the tradition of Greek cuisine. I hope the chef, if they read this, takes this as constructive feedback.
Absolutely lovely!!! Came back multiple times! This is a must for a fancy date night! Amazing service as well with very friendly and eager staff!
A must for vegans in mykonos or vegans who stay in a 100% vegan hotel! Everything was 10/10: food, service, cleanliness, decor etc! If you don't stay at the actual hotel, make sure to visit the restaurant at least! #Veganuary
Amazing restaurant where you can have a really good vegan culinary experience. Great service and a cat is available!
We were in the restaurant three times. For breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast: 30€ pp. Great buffet. You get a lot at the price. But the taste could be a little better. Croissant, cake, omelet too dry. Missed vegetables and there were not many fruits. Lunch: very small portions for a lot of money. We had to wait very long for the dishes. Dinner: expensive, but nice. And very good in taste. No vegetables again. In general, really nice and soothing atmosphere. I miss fresh fruit and vegetables that they use a lot to cook. Updated by previous rating on 2022-09-28
