La Antigua Mexican Grill - Muskogee

I argued with my fiancée for 30 minutes to choose this restaurant instead of Las Cazuelas, which she absolutely loves. I was really excited to try something new, but now I deeply regret my decision. I hate to admit it, but I was wrong; this place really falls short in terms of quality ingredients. Everything tasted stale. I understand that money is tight and prices are high, but there should still be some pride in the food. I'm going to spend the night in the doghouse, so please, don’t make the same mistake I did.

I had a great experience at the restaurant. As soon as I arrived, the staff were quick to take my order for takeout. I only waited about 6 or 7 minutes for my food, and it was delicious! The staff were also very friendly.

I'm sorry to say that this place is not what it used to be. My fiancée suggested we come here for my birthday, but I was disappointed. I ordered a steak ranchero, which they served to me raw and just covered in sauce. They cooked it afterward, but it was still lackluster in flavor. I only had one bite. The beans and rice were also bland. After being a loyal customer for years, I doubt I will come back.

I've delivered food from here through DoorDash but this was my first time as a customer. The place was very clean, staff was incredibly friendly and the service was superb. 10/10 would recommend. The food is excellent and well cooked, lots of flavor and again, the service highlights all of this. Will definitely be coming back!Vegetarian options: They have a specific section for vegetarians but you can add, take away or substitute any item for something vegetarian friendly.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids were here with their parents and the staff is very good and friendly with them.
