The Fish Shak - MURRELLS INLET

We were looking for a quick lunch and found the Fish Shak! The seafood is phenomenal without a doubt. My husband ordered the shrimp salad, an order of chips and the shrimp spring rolls. He loved everything; but, the shrimp spring rolls were his favorite. I ordered the small shrimp basket with a side of sweetcorn hush puppies. The shrimp were so fresh and tender and the hush puppies were spot on some of the best I've ever had. There was only 1 person working the food truck and she did an outstanding job. She was steady busy taking and making orders. There were no complaints by any of the customers and I mean she had a steady flow of customers. Job well done!!

First time visit today after reading reviews and family wanting to come. Was around 10-15 minutes away from our hotel. Honestly, it was fine, but I would not return. My husband and I shared the XL grouper finger basket that comes with homemade chips, dill ranch and remoulade. The fish was hot and fresh, but the breading was just ?. Fine. Nothing particularly tasty or flaky/crispy. It wasn?t bad, just fine. The homemade chips were quite good. The dips were also just fine. Ranch tastes like store bought will dill on top. For sharing, was really more of a snack/very small lunch size. The woman working at the truck was nice. The location is?not great in that the surrounding views are just businesses and parking lots. Overall, would not return of my own accord.

I live in the Inlet and this is my go to shrimp place! Beautiful large shrimp! I love all of the sauces, I suggest you try them all. I was happy these fine folks were happy to honor my special request to not fully cook the potatoes just like my old hometown hangout that were called Raw Fries However I have had them crispy and I love them both way. I 'm not much of a fish eater so I have not tried the fish. If you want to avoid the lines and high of the many other options try The Fish Shak, Great food and nice folks who run the place.

So good, even the locals prefer it! The flounder and shrimp were lightly fried to perfection. The dill ranch sauce and the slightly spicy remoulade were excellent! The potatoes on the side were nice and crispy and even when I couldn't finish them, my 8 year old helped me devour them the next day. Even as a not-so-crispy day old leftover, she thought they were bangin'! There's plenty of seating to be had at this food truck. A couple of picnic tables stand right next to the truck or you can try the larger, shaded bar area just a few more steps away. We will likely be back in the area in the next year or two and will try and convince other family members to try it out!

Love the Fish Shak! Food is always fantastic, one of our favorite places to go at least every month! Easy and great location! Owner is super friendly!
