Recent new ownership has brought improvements in service and food quality, with standout dishes like blackened grouper and generous seafood platters. However, some guests have noted inconsistencies in menu availability and criticized limited or greasy options such as crab cakes. Operational hiccups, including unclear opening hours, have also impacted visitor experience. Despite these setbacks, the combination of great ambiance, friendly staff, and flavorful cuisine continues to draw loyal patrons, especially eager to enjoy outdoor dining when the weather cools.

The atmosphere and service were excellent, but the restaurant really needs to improve their limited menu. We tried a variety of dishes, but the crab balls and crab cake sandwich were greasy and too bready. I must have been looking at an outdated menu, as I expected backfin crab meat, but what we received was mostly leg meat and not much of it. Unfortunately, they were out of the she-crab soup, so we had to settle for corn chowder instead. The wedge salad was also overpriced for just a wedge of lettuce.
The restaurant is closed until June and has new ownership. We traveled nine hours by boat with plans to enjoy a nice dinner here. Unfortunately, while we were cooking burgers on our boat, we noticed many people arriving to dine, which means they missed out on a lot of business tonight.
Rating: 4/15 I arrived at noon, but the sign on the door said "Closed, please call again." Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back. I heard they have new owners.
We heard about this place several years ago and always make it a practice to go back. Great food, music atmosphere with magnificent views of the Waccamaw River.
Correct your days and hours that you are open for business. Your Facebook site says that you are open today but I am here now and you are closed.
