When you walk into a new place staff are generally the deciding factor me if I'm just going to get a bit for lunch. The place was full, every one was busy but they managed an acknowledgement and smiles in between looking after everyone else. Perfect. Seemed like you could get what ever you wanted there for lunch but went for the simple chips and gravy. Accommodating my request they served gravy on the side no worries... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Steamers Cafe Murray Bridge:
Ordered a simple croissant for lunch, took 15min for it to come out, only to be loaded with pepper (which I didn't ask for). I ordered a thickshake, got given a milkshake and over charged. Asked waitress to replace my meal. Took another 15min to bring that out. Meanwhile my friend was promptly served his main meal of fish and chips and finished it in the time I waited. Great chips, perfect gravy and a big size. I will be back for sure.
After preparations for our daughters 18th birthday, we were bit late in the day, on anzac day to boot, looking for a late lunch, drove past as was going to the local for a bite, but decided to do a block and come back ,, so so glad we did, super polite service, all day breakfast,,excellent coffee...what more do you need, sirloin steak sandwich, and the best chips i've had in a long time..and did i say the coffee is sooooo good...a must to visit if your in the area....
Friends suggested we went here for lunch and I am so glad we did. The staff are so helpful, the food is generous, the prices are good and the service is customer focused. It is a good quality cafe in the Bridge
Had a nice breakfast with my partner. Have been once previously a year exactly ago and still has kept up with good service, good variety of menu.
I chose this cafe while visiting Murray Bridge because of the rave reviews on trip advisor. As it was a rainy Sunday, I decided I should reserve a table. They were happy to do that but as it turned out, it was unnecessary. They weren't that busy after all. They had a very broad menu selection to cater for all tastes. I could've eaten several times over if my stomach would allow it! The interior of the cafe is nothing special and there is certainly room for further development to make it more attractive in the future. However the food was excellent, creative and very reasonably priced. The girls working in service were your typical nice friendly country girls. Efficient too. I had the bruschetta, which was an interesting Aussie take on the Italian classic. I would have preferred more tomato on it, however the perfectly poached egg and alfalfa sprouts on top of the Turkish bread made for an interesting meal. The Coffex coffee was excellent too.I will certainly go back again if I find myself in Murray Bridge.
