This restaurant is fantastic. The fried shrimp were cooked to perfection, and the salad was fresh, featuring red onions and mushrooms. The she-crab bisque was exceptional. View all feedback.

Oysters were only half cooked. Service was excellent. Wife's claim chowder was very good. Just needed to cook oysters longer. Couldn't eat them. Waste of money.
Do not let the small town storefront fool you. The food is very good and prepared on site. The fish and chips taste like what I remember from the 60s.
Delicious NE Clam Chowder. Salads big and tasty. Shrimp/Fish special scrumptious! A friend had a Lobster roll and said it was as good as the ones on the Northeast coast.
I'm Originally from Boston MA. I moved down South 2 yrs ago. This is the closest seafood to New England since I've been here. It is EXCELLENT the service is GREAT and the Food is BETTER. If you're searching for a delicious meal in Murphy, look no further than Chowder House! This great spot offers fresh fish with a straightforward menu that makes choosing easy. While the dining area is small, the exceptional quality of the food more than compensates for the limited space. We enjoyed fried oysters, grilled scallops, and grilled shrimp—each dish bursting with flavor. As an appetizer, the spinach crab dip paired perfectly with homemade chips. The sides, including perfectly cooked shoestring potatoes and a fantastic coleslaw, rounded out our meal beautifully. Whether for lunch or dinner, Chowder House is a must-visit in Murphy. With attentive, friendly staff, convenient parking, and delicious seafood, what more could you want?
