Giving a single star is too much. I would rate this place as zero star if possible. I was blocked from entering even though the restaurant was empty during lunch time. I asked the waitress using Google translate on what is the reason and she said foreign citizens were not allowed.
Visited after lunch time and before evening. The place was quiet. Asked for a window table since all of them were free but the answer was that all of them were reserved. I told the waitress that we won't stay for a long time but still no window tables available. I told the waitress that in case when we're finished and the window tables are still free I will never return. The answer was still negative. We ate and during our stay only one party arrived and occupied a window table. After we were finished I told the waitress that I was not satisfied with the service and she didn't apologize or give an explanation. I will never go again.
It was a great choice to go to this restaurant and eat. Fast service and not much waiting before the food was served. A little more sophisticated restaurant then average. Will definitely go there again.
I have been in Las Galetas several times during the last years (latest in June 2010 . This is a great place, situated slightly outside the centre of Murmansk and thus is easily accessible by public transport or taxi. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant, but sometimes can be noisy. The menu essentially refers to Russian and pan-European kitchen, even though it seems like the chief is not afraid to improvise in fusion style. Mind you, starters and deserts are usually quite good in this place, so do not skip them. The price has been steadily increasing throughout the last years, but still is acceptable. The waiters are fairly OK, polite and attentive, remember to tip the granny standing in the wardrobe :
