Los Agaves - Murfreesboro

For an isolated, rural area Los Agaves does as well as can be expected. Fast service, decent food, good value.

Los Agaves is a Mexican restaurant which reaps the benefits of being the only Mexican restaurant in a small town and one of the few restaurants which stays open for dinner. The food is very average and bland. The chips and salsa are ok but the tomatillo salsa is too sweet and the cheese dip lacks real flavor. My wife had the #6 combo and enjoyed everything but the refried beans. I had the #1 combo and while the food was edible again it was bland. Please be sure to watch out for the hot plates which obviously came from the fiery pits of hell. Our waiter failed to mention this to us but if you've ever had Mexican from anywhere else you know this. The fast and friendly service is the reason I have this restaurant rated 3 stars and the fact you can't rate it 2 1/2 stars. However, this restaurant would not make it in bigger areas like Little Rock or Dallas. Well to be honest it wouldn't make it in Texarkana either. But if you're starving from digging for diamonds and want fast, hot food then stop here b/c other restaurants in Murfreesboro can't handle a rush.

Great food, friendly staff, encourage all to grab a bite! Coming from out of town and looking for a great place to eat, here it is! We approve!

I'm a local and eat there constantly! Fastest service around! Love the enchiladas and rancheros. Awesome rice.
