Love this small tapas bar restaurant run by three brothers, two of which take turns cooking and they both produce excellent Murcian Tapas. Best thing to do here... read more Love this small tapas bar restaurant run by three brothers, two of which take turns cooking and they both produce excellent Murcian Tapas. Best thing to do here, is to let them bring you tapas until you've had enough (they speak little English) and be very surprised at the quality and variety of the food. Their local wine selection is excellent, so perhaps let then choose that to. The prices are very reasonable. It's a little awkward to find as it's in the old (a bit run down part of Murcia behind the Cathedral) part of the city, but don't let that put you off at all. This part of the city is slowly being renovated.

The place was buzzing and was great fun.... read more This tapas bar cum restaurant has been open for about eighteen months and we happened to be there on the opening night. The place was buzzing and was great fun. The leading guy is David who must be the most extrovert gyt ever to run a restaurant.. and has a fantastic personality. One day we had paella and he took our daughter into the kitchen to let her taste it to see if she liked it( she did very much! . Then when she said she was going to cook a paella on her return to university he presented her with a brand new paella pan! David himself is great chef and he doesn't normally do the cooking. This is done by Manolo who looks as if he was once a rugby prop forward.. which eh was and still plays fotr Murcia veterans! When I told him I was a rugby nut, next time we went he gave me a Murcia rugby t shirt. They list all the specials on the board but we do't bother with that.. just ask them to feed and water you. Not only have we never had anything but an excellent meal there but we must have taken over twenty people there and they all think its one of the best meals they've ever had. All makes for a great night out!
