I would highlight the entire menu except th... read more Polea is one of the good restaurants in Murcia; understand yourself well for being original, hardworking and honest. I would highlight the entire menu except the dessert (a very personal opinion because the rest of the diners did like it), especially the asparagus in various textures (grilled greens, slightly smoked whites, and bits of pickled greens with hollandaise sauce and cabbage vinaigrette. We have traveled to the Cantabrian Sea with its grilled tuna in its own juice. I love that style of fish broths from the north of Spain and you hardly see them around here. As for the pairing, I think a white from Valencia, Baldovar Rascaña, was uncovered by mistake, based on Meseguera grapes and Macabeo (Viura) fermented on its lees. A dry wine with structure, honey color (rested in the bottle) and mild salinity similar to a good sherry, but without that density or alcoholic strength. I didn't think it was a good idea to serve one of the dishes on the menu based on pork belly, I see it as a good ingredient and not as a main ingredient, although it was delicious.

They have a closed menu that, according to what they informed us, they change seasonally, which is in accordance with the dedication to the product of the area and season. Without neglecting the other dishes (also delicious), highlight the snack of potato, lemon and pickled mussels and one of the main dishes prepared with tuna from the La Azohia almadraba that was impressive. We also want to thank the room service, it made the evening perfect.
