You have a fixed price menu, but we didn't want to order three courses so easy from the menu, that's all in Spanish. Our meals were really delicious and nicely cooked and served. A local 4 piece band played for some of our meals that are just the whole thing very local staff are very helpful, but had little English so go with a phrase book or a translated menu list. have they been coming back?
Nice Family run Restaurant. It was quite crowded with 1 table and halfway through lunch. The empanadas here are fried and had curry with yellow color, which I did not expect at all.
Traveling in the northern area of Argentina, you can find beautiful places to have dinners that, despite their local touch (i.e. the food, the atmosphere, sometimes the service) of people from Buenos Aires who moved into this enchanted area to a great change in their lively life. They are beautiful places with delicious food, but no matter how much they try, you can just say. La Tuna is not such a place. Once you are in, you are still in Jujuy, you are still in charming Humahuaca. The atmosphere is excellent: no Bossa Nova, no ketchup, no Champions League. Traditional food is all you can find on the menu, along with clay pottery, ethnic ornaments and friendly service. Llama meat is delicious, children's cuprol is mouth-water and if you are a vegetarian, there is also a wide range of appetizers from vegetables and legumes. Portions are plentiful so if you travel with someone else and you are both hungry and on a budget, you can simply share food. As for other details, always ask whether credit cards are accepted. They are usually, but it depends on whether their system works or not. Enjoy!
