Chipotle.....we get it, Americans are dying to find a substitute to Chipotle in Munich. I think Pure Burrito fills that void. Pure Burrito is to burritos as McDonalds is to burgers. You know it's not the best you can have, but it just tastes soooo good you can't resist it. I would never say Pure Burrito has the best burritos in Munich, because there are plenty of tasty, authentic Mexican ones to be found around town. However, if it's a Chipotle, Salsalitas, or Qdoba that you crave, then this is as close as you'll get. Because this is a quick service place, there isn't too much atmosphere, but you'll probably be too busy stuffing that burrito in your face to really care hahah. I personally really like the food here, and haven't ever found it particularly dry, but then again....I am NOT judging this against the REAL Mexican offerings in the city, I'm judging it as a fast food style burrito joint (because that's what it is . I will definitely continue to go here when I'm feeling a bit homesick and need that oh-so-painful Chipotle fix :

If you've been abroad for a while and are in need of a fix, this will certainly satiate that need, but I doubt it's a joint you'll be craving to return to. I had a chicken burrito with rice, black beans, peppers and onions, a mix of pico and medium salsa, cheese and sour cream. The overall flavor was pretty good, but the chicken on its own was very dry, and the cheese and sour cream had an unpleasant aftertaste. These tiny flaws notwithstanding, it's still a cheap place to grab some quick Mexican eats.

Howev... read more On my first visit here when I ordered it reminded me of Chipotle back in the States. You get to choose your burrito fillings as you go through your order. However, the comparison ends there. While Chipotle is higher-end fast food, it's still fast food. I like that Pure uses local bio meats, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 3. I also like that you can choose either a small or large burrito. There's also good Mexican beer like Negra Modelo available. I personally think Condesa is more authentic and has more variety in terms of a few more menu items and customizing the spice level better, but if you want a burrito with organic meats and want it just about exactly how you want it in terms of fillings and salsa, Pure is a good way to go.

Close your eyes. Let the sounds of country music muddle the blended spices of your slow cooked beef burrito with the zest of the house salsas into a tortilla wrapped missile of delight. BAM! You just got nuked with the delicio bomb. Wanna go for another round? Fine, but if you ordered the big burritio, you 're gonna have to wait a day until there 's room again. I like that this place offers both Dos XX and Negra Modelo, the latter being, in my opinion, the finest brew for burrito demolishing endeavours. It 's true. Try it for yourself if you don 't believe me. Helles has no place at the mesa where carnitas and barbacoa are concerned. For the veg heads out there, they offer very tasty vegetarian options, including both burrito and salads. And if you 're a meat eater who wants a salad anyway, you can do that too, and just have the burrito ingredients piled on top. In short, no one is leaving hungry or dissatisfied after a trip to the Pureness. Buen provecho!
