it should be noted that it is the first canteen bakery with friendly salesmen. good selection of sweets and rarer in sandwiches and cakes, but more than enough. prices for food and drinks are cheaper than in others we have visited View all feedback.
I can’t drink strong tea and prefer it diluted. No chance in this place. Mum had coffe and a breakfast too
Came in the morning and ordered latte, cappuccino, tea in English. She asked me again for my order after making my tea, so I repeated the same. After waiting minutes I got cappuccino and tea. I asked another staff...to tell her that I need my order corrected as the original staff was busy now serving someone else. She came over and said that I was lying and that she asked me twice for my order. I said yes and I told you twice my order and you still got it wrong, and I want my drinks. She went away and decided to ignore me instead of correct my order. I told my friend who doesn’t understand the situation that the server was stupid and didn’t understand my order twice and is now refusing to fix the situation. The staff overheard and decided that I did exist to her again and yelled across the store that “you’re stupid!” At that point I’ve had enough of spending money and getting nothing but a full order of her attitude I yelled back that what I order was not what she gave me. Typically, in any normal shop they would have just fixed the problem...but instead she came out and waved her hands in my face, told me “we speak German here, not Japanese or Thai.” Mind you, until this point all I’ve spoken to her is English and I’m an Asian American, neither Japanese or Thai. I told her I’m neither and asked why she was making such racial comments. Her manager came over and said I was too loud while his staff yelled at me to “get lost!” The whole bakery was staring at me and my friends like we are some exotic foreign animals they’ve never seen. I told the manager that the staff called me a liar and her attitude was wrong and I’m a paying customer and that it is wrong. He started to yell in my face that I was too loud and that they’re not wrong. In the end, I got euro back for the extra tea I didn’t order and left without the coffees I did order along with a heavy heart that German or Southern German hospitality was no where to be seen in this shop. Quite the opposite, if you’re looking for a blood pressure rush in the morning before your coffee, this is the place to come
