I can't believe we discovered a gem right in our own neighborhood! At first, you might notice that it's located in a strip mall, but that impression quickly fades as soon as you step inside this beautifully warm space adorned with chandeliers and candles. The waitstaff took the time to explain the menu highlights, emphasizing their commitment to using fresh ingredients. I must say, this was one of the best Italian me... View all feedback.
What David Dickman doesn't like about Mambo Italiano:
Service was slow and terrible. Our server Manuel didn’t seem to care and was nonexistent. The only time he was responsive was it was time to pay the bill. The food was only fair and took an extremely long time to get our order. When we left the host and hostess didn’t even acknowledge us and didn’t even ask how our experience was. In my opinion this place has definitely gone downhill. View all feedback.
We went for lunch where the prices are much lower than the dinner menu but the portions are just as huge! Our server was super friendly and attentive the food came out fast and most importantly it tasted amazing. I highly recommend going for lunch!
Great authentic Italian food and deserts. Amazing wine and drinks. Great servers and wonderful atmosphere. The music playing on the sound system set the right mood to enjoy a great dinner. They have a entertainer that sings and plays a guitar on fridays.
I wish I had heeded the reviews I had read. The service was terrible. The waitstaff was chaotic, forgetting drinks and orders. The well drinks took an eternity because the bartender was overwhelmed. To make matters worse, the cook served the birthday boy his meal on a cracked plate, which had to be sent back to the kitchen. It was remade, but then it arrived with the wrong protein. The ladies' restroom was absolutely filthy—there was a terrible smell, a sticky floor, overflowing trash bins, and paper scattered everywhere. I couldn’t leave fast enough. The food fell short as well. The charcuterie board looked like leftover scraps, the chicken parmesan was bland, and the house salad tasted like grass. The only redeeming aspect was the complimentary bread, which was delicious. In summary, think twice before spending your hard-earned money here. You’d be better off walking down to the pizza place in the same strip mall.
Unfortunately, we seemed to arrive at a particularly hectic time. When we walked in to put our name down for a table for three, we had to wait by the entrance for about five minutes without anyone greeting us, as a DoorDash driver blocked the way. There were quite a few guests gathered at the door, even though there was plenty of seating available nearby. After finally getting our name on the list, we waited another ten minutes until a man who appeared to be the manager came over and asked what we were waiting for. He promised to seat us right away. However, another ten minutes passed, and we ended up asking if we could sit at the bar instead. Unfortunately, that wasn't an option since we had a minor with us. I noticed that the hostess seemed to have forgotten about us, but she seated us immediately after I spoke with her. Still, we faced another delay before our server came to acknowledge us. He had two other tables and a small party in addition to us, but he was very apologetic about the wait and explained that several servers hadn't shown up for their shift that night. We arrived at 6:30 on a Sunday and didn’t leave until almost 9 PM. Despite the long wait, the quality of the food made it a worthwhile experience.
The food was fantastic, the ambiance was subtle and inviting, the wine selection was great, and the service was outstanding. What more could you ask for, especially when expectations were low on a weekday night?
