Concannon's Pastry Shop - Muncie

We've always been a fan of Concannon's, but the last few times we've been there, the donuts have been even better than usual. They're not heavy or dense at all! I could go in there and just order their chocolate frosting and I spoon. I don't even really need the spoon.

Best donuts in Indiana or at least Muncie! Delicious pies and snacks too. Whenever we come to visit family in the area, I make it a point to get a dozen donuts before leaving. It's a good way to thank the inlaws and satisfies my craving for classic yeast donuts. Always fresh donuts whenever I've been in and the folks behind the register are nice. The price is really good too. Concannons puts the national chains to shame.

Favorite bakery of all time. Tea cookies and yeast doughnut holes are all you need. Really great ice cream cakes also.

Having grown up in Muncie and eaten several thousand Concannon 's donuts in my time, it is quite possible that my taste buds adapted themselves to find Concannon 's donuts as sweet-toothily satisfying as I do; however, I stand by my claim that Concannon 's Pastry Shop is the best bakery in North America. I have been to bakeries on each coast, a good half of the States, and two countries and have never found a donut better than at Concannon 's. I could go on and on and on about the nut-topped or peanut butter persions, or the Napoleans, or the caramel corn, but the thing that cannot be beat... the item that I want a baker 's dozen of on the very day that I am taken to that great mansion in the sky is: the chocolate topped, cream filled long john. What a beauty to behold! I think it was Ben Franklin who said, Concannon 's butter-cream is proof that God loves us and wants us to be chubby.

My daughter and I were traveling from northern Indiana back to Louisville the other day when we decided to take a detour to Muncie. The reviews for Concannon's were accurate! Everything we purchased was delicious and the price was unbelievable! I would definitely recommend this place.
