The Bar Bistro at Mulranny Park Hotel is a fantastic dining option. We enjoyed a delicious lunch with a cousin who was visiting us recently, as well as a wonderful dinner. The staff were friendly and followed Covid guidelines diligently. The restaurant offers beautiful sea views from its windows. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Waterfront Bistro:
We ate a couple of burgers here (lamb and beef) during dinner. Our server did not speak even when spoken to which became weird. The service was also slow and inattentive. The food was quite good but took a very long time to arrive, even with only two other patrons eating when we arrived. In all, the meal was sufficient and modestly priced but the experience itself was nothing to write home about. View all feedback.

A pleasant, bright and airy restaurant near Clew Bay. The food was very good, fish was fresh. The servers were all quite pleasant and we enjoyed our time here.
My husband and I stopped off here for a little rest and recharge while cycling The Great Western Greenway on Wednesday. We ordered a simple selection of tea, coffee and scones and found this quaint little bar relaxing and welcoming to Greenway cyclists not to mention sporting a beautiful view of the Irish coast! Reasonably priced and very welcoming.
After cycling for hours on the Green Way, we stopped off here for a well deserved lunch and a pint! The menu appeals to all with perfect choice. I had fabulously presented fish chips, while my husband went for the delicious burger. Stunning views over Clew Bay were a perfect backdrop to fantastic lunch.
Have passed this hotel several times over many years and wanted to pop in for a drink and possible meal yesterday when passing again. Also to check it out for a possible future booking with my wife. General first impression and ambience is of well past it 's sell by date and possibly relying on previous years reviews by Georgina Campbell guides why no mention of a GC plaque since 2012???????? I trust my intuition and this was confirmed on purchasing drinks in bar (which were cheap enough) but which revealed bar staff with no interest in providing a restaurant menu or even bar nibbles as a paid for extra. Delighted to leave this shabby establishment and travel on to proper luxury in Westport. AVOID this hotel unless you can put up with Groupon style residents who clearly must not travel much or who expect poor service while paying for what was once feted as an international standard hotel. I 'm glad to realise I haven 't missed anything by NOT staying here after all. I would have been gutted to have arrived with my wife expecting to stay somewhere special. The hotel need to realise that they really cannot expect to be able overcharge for views which are good (but not exceptional) and there is much better accommodation within a 20 mile radius.
