We had a fabulous new years day lunch at Corleys. I had been hearing about this place for many months, and it certainly lived up to expectations. I had the chowder for starter, lamb for main and brownie for dessert and everything was incredible! The menu is fab and staff are all lovely. View all feedback.

After a pleasant visit to the nearby Ballintuber Abbey, we were eager to enjoy a nice lunch and discuss what we had seen. We anticipated hot soup and sandwiches, but our family group of seven experienced minimal service. Our water wasn’t refilled, our order was taken late, the soup arrived cold, and the children were served after the adults. When a tour bus showed up, it felt like we became completely ignored. We happened upon Corleys when we were visiting Ballintubber Abbey and what a find. We decided to have a late lunch and everything was delicious. Seafood chowder as good as we ever had and blue cheese, pear and nut salad, also fabulous. For mains we had fish and chips and homemade scampi. Both served with a tossed salad, chunky chips and an array of sauces, tartare, garlic and marie rose . Delicious mushy peas came with the fish which was crispy and so fresh and the scampi were big juicy breaded prawns. We shared a chocolate brownie for dessert which was rich and gooey. The staff were very efficient and very friendly as was the owner who served our table. We will definitely be back to Corleys again.
