What Doug Brow doesn't like about Blueplate Philadelphia:
Hostess was very rude, I was yelled at twice for standing at the wrong place in line. Took over an hour for our food to come out. We came here because we had a gift card but they said they could not take it because their machine has been down. I guess that's a waste now because we will not be back here again Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 View all feedback.
First visit today, had the lobster Reuben and it was amazing, very nice restaurant and impeccably clean too

Went to blueplate for their Totally Tomato four course dinner. It was excellent! Blueplate always has excellent food and service and this special meal was no different. A great showcase of Jersey fresh tomatoes.
When blue plate first opened up the thing we loved about the establishment was the quality of the food. We often came here Sunday for breakfast. Since the expansion (after their fire) something has changed. The last time we went we had breakfast, I ordered a blueberry pancake, and I received one pancake and the texture was so dry, it honestly tasted like it had been cooked hours prior and reheated in a microwave. Please remember one thing, if you stick to your basics of quality and customer service you will succeed. Being smaller is not a bad thing if you seek to keep your quality and customer service, and if you expand, you must protect that reputation is best as you can, and then, and only then, will you grow and succeed through customer retention and word of mouth. If you expand too fast and that negatively affects quality and service, you will hurt your reputation. I want to see this establishment thrive, however you need to decide what you want to be.
Place is awesome! Sunday breakfast with the family is real nice here!
