The Villa At Heaven City - Mukwonago

First timers who loved this place! We tried an assortment of tapas dishes and Shawn provided top notch service. The food was excellent I especially liked the Blue Crostini. The sangrias were great too. Went on Tuesday so we were able to enjoy the flamenco guitarist extraordinaire, Dennis. Great history to this place and the decor offers a nice ambience. Can't wait to go back!

It's always been my favorite place. I LOVE it there. Food is excellant!!! Love atmosphere.

The service was wonderful. The food was superb. The history of the building was told to us by our waiter. Amazing old building. We were there on a Wednesday and there was a piano bar singer. He was very good.

We enjoyed our tapas. Evidently the chef was not in, so we had a bit of a delay before being seated. Ironically, we were seated at the chef 's table! Our waiter was very good. I think the bartender (I think it wAs the owner) should have told us what was going on.

Unfortunately this was a very unsatisfactory experience. I cook a lot and pride myself on being able to prepare a variety of dishes that are healthy, fresh, tasty and worth the time and effort. The money I spend to do so goes much further than it does in a restaurant and enables me to buy somewhat pricey ingredients and beverages of choice. So, when I do decide to go out, I expect to find an enjoyable experience, delicious food, timely service and a pleasant environment. I can say nothing positive about our experience at The Villa other than that it is close to our residence, so we didn't have far to go to put together an easy and sumptuous meal upon returning home. The restaurant wasn't prepared with our reservation although it was placed several hours in advance. The hostess didn't seem to have any idea about her function. Fortunately, one of the servers did come to our aid, but took forever to return with water and even longer with a drink order (a glass of wine and a beer) after he'd taken the order probably 5-10 minutes earlier and had even mentioned while passing our table that our drinks would be right out. After waiting 45 minutes with no food in sight, we decided to call it quits. I spoke to the server and bartender, paid the bill for our drinks and headed out. The bartender apologized and informed me that it was a problem with the kitchen. I said that they needed to figure it out and, at the very least, communicate something to their guests in order to avoid client dissatisfaction.
