Kostas - Mukilteo

For the past two and a half years, my wife, daughter, friends, employees, and I have enjoyed countless lunches and dinners at this restaurant, and each visit has been a delight. I realized it's been a while since I wrote a review, but I recently sent some out-of-town family members there to eat. My niece's new husband, a Greek from Boston, and his wife dined there a few weeks ago, and they haven't stopped raving about it since. They've shared their wonderful experience with his Greek family, who also loved the food. In fact, both of them now regret not having their wedding catered by Kosta here in Mukilteo. Congratulations, Kosta, for impressing a first-generation Greek from Boston and showing him that you can do it even better than his own family. Jon Pierre, Seattle Food Critic.

Kostas is an excellent Greek/Mediterranean restaurant. We tried the Lamb Giouvetsi and the Gyro Platter, both of which had exceptional flavors and generous portion sizes. The entrees included a choice of salad and bread, and we opted for the Greek Salads, which were fantastic. The service was attentive, and the restaurant was spotless. If you love Mediterranean cuisine, I highly recommend this place.

My husband really enjoyed his moussaka and noted that the portion was about 50% larger than what he usually gets; however, the price was reflective of that. This restaurant is slightly on the pricier side, but we felt the quality of the food justified the cost. My Greek Salad was $20, and most entrees ranged from $25 to $35. Customer service was decent; we felt welcomed. A staff member came out to check that our order was correct while we waited for our food, which was a little unusual as most restaurants don’t do that, but I appreciated the effort to avoid mistakes. Thankfully, our order was accurate. They quoted us a 25-minute wait time, which turned out to be pretty spot on. I was hungry, but the delicious food made the wait worthwhile, and I was comfortable lounging on the black leather sofa in the lovely entryway. Due to the prices, we probably wouldn't visit weekly, but we genuinely enjoyed our experience and were satisfied with both the taste and quality of our meals. It’s a bit of an odd price point—too expensive for a regular dining spot but not fancy enough for what we consider a special occasion dinner. However, for our monthly date night, it was just perfect.

I simply got a pizza Kostas house special, the price online was $17.95. When I picked up it was $25.95-$27.00 with tax. I picked up the box and could tell by the weight, I wasn 't going to be happy. I waited til i got home to lift the lid. It was the first time I could have eaten a whole 12 by myself. I use to get this Pizza all the time, it was my favorite. Needless to say it did not have everything the menu said it had on it. It was skimpy! I will keep searching for a good pizza.

Kostas Mediterranean Cuisine is always reliable and provides wonderful Mediterranean dishes. Kosta is always a pleasure to speak with very service minded and professional. Highly recommend the Moussaka and Greek salad.
