It's a true local haunt, yet the warm welcome makes any newcomer feel like a local and a friend almost instantly. The bar area is fantastic, and the lounge is just as great, featuring an impressive jukebox. There's also a large screen for major sporting events and a covered patio in the back, offering a lovely outdoor space. The family running the pub is incredible—they truly elevate the pub experience and are a great asset to Carrickmacross. No list of the best pubs in Ireland would be complete without including Callans.
