Tldr over a year since opening day and this park is still not ready for prime time. Spend your hard earned money and valuable time making memories elsewhere. Visit Tuesday 2/24/26 40 degrees at 8am, rising to 60 by 3pm and clear skies. Pros: stunning visuals and most everyone was polite. Cons: pretty much everything else, the wait times, crowd control, communication and mechanical snafus were all comically bad. It all started the night before when Rina at Saphire Falls told us 8am early entry. We rose early and waited in many lines (security, ticket taking, early entry, etc). We finally got through at 9am which was the early entry time listed online (we come to find out). We walked (not ran) to Ministry where we were told it would be delayed opening until after General Admission opening. Went to Berk where Hicupps Wing glider went down just as we boarded. Unloaded and waited 20 minutes to be told it would be an extended delay. We were told there 's nothing to be done (no rain check passes for the attraction). Jumped on Racer 's Rally with a quoted 25min wait at 10am. One side went down at approx. 10:10am. We finally boarded at 10:40am our first ride after approx. 3hrs on site (and an 1hr 40mins in park). Unfortunately, this was the overall theme of the visit. Curse of werewolf, bowsers, ministry, hiccups, and Mine Kart all had significant downtime when we were en route or in line. Stardust Racers was never open, apparently due to the cold. 55 minutes plus for most rides, with 120 minutes or more for the big ones (up to 240min for ministry). We ended up riding Monsters (30min wait), Yoshi (40min) and Celestial Carousel (5min). Left at 235pm. The situation at this park is NOT exaggerated by the negative reviews. It really is this bad. Im sorry that we used a day in Orlando here and not at another property. Feels like they are still working out the kinks and were all still the guinea pigs (and paying for the privilege). Over a year from grand opening and frankly that feeling really stinks, feels like theyre taking major advantage. Its all summed up by the map handed out at our affiliated hotel. The Shuttle Bus listing doesn 't even include Epic Universe. They have literally not even updated their own graphics. What does that say about how integrated and up to speed the new park is! Keeping one star for the visuals, it really was a beautiful park. Most people were friendly enough though some were either very terse or dismissive given the situation, im sure they 've had to deal with upset customers A LOT.
Great experience if your kids are at the age of 9 and up!!! They can go on rides etc vs the Disney Parks.
Brought a party of 13 every ride we went on or attempted to get on was delayed or had a delay once you were in the line. Waste of money in my opinion especially for one day.
Absolutely incredible amusement park! The immersion and theming is truly next level. All the rides are truly great! The food around the park is delicious, and the drinks are great. The design of the park was well planned out with the tunnels leading to each immersive world. We have been to the park twice now and our family absolutely love it here. Overall, truly an amazing experience and a park that has set a new standard for amusement parks. I really only have two complaints. 1) the wait times can get extremely long and the fast passes are quite expensive. When we were there it was around $350/person for a fast pass so our family of 5 was over $1,200 on top of the park tickets. However, supply and demand! 2) I do love the Mario world a lot; however, the layout of this world makes it feel very tight and overcrowded. One thing I hope Universal have planned in the future would be extended park hours because this park is truly special at night. We got to experience a little bit of Dark Universe and Harry Potter at night which was really fun.
We went to Super Nintendo world first, the wait times for rides are almost always 60 minutes plus for a 3-5 minute ride experience. (Not worth the wait) we stood in line for an hour to meet Mario and Luigi only for them to come out for one minute then go back inside and we were told “oh well” by the staff. The amount of money it costs to go here and the experience that comes with it, is a complete waste of your time. Take your kids elsewhere.
