Hello, we were very dissatisfied with the service in La Taverna on Friday 09.09.2011. We wanted to take a salad with pizza rolls and yoghurt sauce. We got garlic baguette and vinegar oil dressing. We were not asked if we want the garlic baguette at all and what dressing we want. Vinegar oil was just made on it. When we packed the salad, we saw that he was just thrown together. The ingredients did not look fresh and tasted it neither. For the price of 7,50 € the quality was very bad and from the amount too little.

I went with my acquaintances at La Taverna Essen and was totally enthusiastic. The service is excellent and very friendly. I liked the whole ambience and my friends. The food was very good, for this 5 stars.I can only recommend this restaurant and will soon look in again.

Mma Friday night, very busy, but managed to get table at very short notice. The staff were very friendly, polite and effficient. Menü prices are reason able and good variety. The pizzas seemed large than standard and were excellent.

La Taverna is just like home. Signora Franca and her brother are super friendly, always happy to welcome people and to take care that everything is perfect. Food is just amazing, pasta is very good but you should definitely trust signora Franca with the menu...of he day and go for the fresh fish. Quality price relation is also very good and you will never leave without a complimentary grappa, coffe or ramazzotti. For dessert go for the great panna cotta or for the tiramisù della casa!
