Close to the downtown with crowds of tourists, this one seems not touristic at all, at least in lunchtime on Wednesday. Full with patrons, nice decour - walls of carved wooden panels, very German like. The restaurant claims to be the oldest beerhouse in the city, starting off in 1328, if I remember it right. What User doesn't like about Tattenbach Wirtshaus & Stuberl:
I was outside for the initial interaction, but my friend tried to order a beer inside (before I arrived and at the bar) and was told he could only order it outside as we were going to sit there. Whatever happened inside, it colored the rest of the evening. The waiter was pointedly more attentive to other guests (most tourists). No complaints on the food. Often order here. carving, noodles, beekeeping all well, plentiful and reasonable travel. top delivery service.
I had ordered the carving. it was a super surprise when I even discovered the cranberry jam.
The carvings are simply the best! eating was warm until the last bite and that is really a performance! special thanks to the chef and his team!
Super serving, delicious food. all very good. only the ordered dressing to salat has missed 2x.
