This is the first time I've been there and surprised with the huge variety of chinese cuisine. They taste really good and a perfect value for money. If I am in munich next time I'll visit this restaurant again for sure. View all feedback.
What فيصل كاظم doesn't like about Restaurant HU:
This is the first time that visitors reviews are mostly incorrect. I have been to more than 9 all you can eat chinese buffet in Germany, and by far this is the worst. Mongolian grill is 100% frozen. The Chinese buffet tastes really bad and not fresh. I did not like any single dish. View all feedback.
Korean BBQ. Basic sushi. Various Chinese dishes. Vegetables and salad. Lots of fresh fruit. Ice cream and a variety of desserts. For the price we had a great meal. We loved it. The host made sure to explain to us how to prepare our choices for the barbecue and was very attentive making sure we were happy. I recommend this place.
My friends and I are used to eat in chinese buffets and this one was by far the worst. Around 9 p.m staff started to clean the restaurant while we were eating. We paid 3€ for a Coca Cola that for sure was not original coke. Nothing special about the food: Sushi = avoid ; chinese = averageI don't recommend this restaurant at all.
Wasnt expecting a lot given the reviews on trip advisor, but this place really surprised us. I ordered a menu (buffet was over once I came in) and food was delicious! The menu for 2 can feed at least 3 people! Team was not great at english but tried really hard to compensate for that. Will definately come back several timesIn the future!
It was about 6.00pm when we arrived here after our walking tour in the city center. The restaurant was already quite crowded with other tour groups and walk-in customers. Our tour group of 32 were immediately led to a small room (away from the main dinning area) where all of us were seated over 5 tables. After we had settled down, we went outside to the main dinning area to help ourselves with the food as it was buffet style, a blend between Chinese and Mongolian cuisines. The restaurant was spacious and from a glance, it did offer quite a good spread of buffet, ranging from Chinese dishes to Western, Live cooking and Seafood (but we needed to top up extra to have them as they were not included in our tour package but none of us did as we only had about 40 minutes of dinning time and the queue was long), Japanese, Desserts and Fruits etc. Most of the food items were either deep fried or stir-fried with a few steamed ones like the dumplings. So, in terms of variety and spread, overall it was good. But in terms of quality, most of the food were just passable. One reason was probably they were cooked in masses and early so as to be on time to serve the large crowds. As such, several food were not freshly cooked or warmed (we assumed they had prepared or cooked them well in advance and left them there except for those replenish ones). While the stir fried prawns were nice and flavourful, the meat or chicken were either too hard, not chewy and vegetables were salty. As for the desserts and fruits, generally it was fine as they served pastries and cakes, jellies, fresh and canned fruits like water melon, oranges, grapes, canned peaches etc.On every of the table, there was a jug of cold drinking water and if you prefer tea or beer, you will need to pay for them.Service wise. Bad. First, the replenishment of food items was slow and at many times, we had to wait for quite a while for them due to a large turnout of diners from the tour groups. The restaurant failed to plan ahead or have small reaction to meet to huge demands.Second, our used plates and cutlery were not cleared at all from the time we were seated until we left, very different from other buffet restaurants we have visited worldwide or even other cities in Germany. So we had to stack our used plates and placed them at the table corner. And when the jug of water was finished, even when requested, it was not refilled. One reason was possibly because we were seated in the room and were totally "cut off" from the "outside world" and so no server would come in to check. But it should not be the way buffet restaurants set to be. On the main dinning area, we did see 2-3 servers running around from time to time, mostly ushering walk in diners, preparing payments or replenishing the plates. As this meal was included in our tour package fare, we did not know how much it cost. But a quick glance at the menu suggested that the normal buffet diiner (exclude live cooking and seafood) was around 12-15 Euro (but of course the tour agency would get a much lower rate due to bulk number of diners). If at this price, we thought it was quite reasonable to dine here, considering the spread was quite good though not all are quality or yummy items. The washroom was clean and dry too unlike some others with wet or dirty floor. This restaurant was definitely not one of the better buffet restaurants of similar nature we have patronized in our walk around the world, but neither was it the worst!Well, if you just want to have a taste or experience several Chinese/Asian cuisines and yet do not want to burn a hole in your pocket, and also do not really mind the quality or lack of service, this place maybe relevant to you.The restaurant was located in a small residential area, on the 2nd storey and you can either walk the stairs or take the lift but trust me, the lift was very slow.
