Khorassan Afghanisches Restaurant

Food is great! But, be aware of your tab. I've been there twice and noticed that they overcharged me. Always double check!

We lucked upon this amazing Afghanistani restaurant in Munich. The customer service was delightful and the food was simply awesome. We had some soup and the famous Afgani Chicken kabobs. They were delicious, juicy and melted in my mouth. My son who is a picky eater, wanted to eat more of the kabobs. We had to pack some so that he could have it for breakfast the next day (weird taste buds of kids). Overall, an amazing find with delicious kabobs, reasonable price and homely atmosphere. Love this place.

I have never had Afghani food until today so, my expectation was quite low and, I enjoyed my meal here. Not too dissimilar to Indian food with, many Indian sounding dishes, they have a good variety of meat and vegetarian options. The food is generally richer than Indian food and, the flavour is also ok. This place also serves halal meat. We shared a couple of starters and they were quite nice. The mantu is similar to a gyoza and comes with a nice rich tomato sauce on top. The mixed pakora was also nice. The main dish of lamb with lentils and a thick tomato based sauce was also quite ok. The food lacked a bit of seasoning in general and perhaps the flavours would have been more intense with a bit more seasoning. The service is quite ok and the staff were very polite. They also do home delivery if you want that option. All in all an ok meal I would come back for again. Glad I have tasted Afghani food finally and pleased with the experience. There are quite a few Afghani restaurants and will try a couple more to compare and see : The prices are reasonable and they are open for lunch most days. On the weekend they do not have lunch menu so the prices are a bit higher for lunch.

I went to the Khorassan on a Monday night. So the service was all mine! The lady was very friendly and quick off the mark. Food we ordered appeared really quite quickly and was perfect. The meat, Lamb, was cooked just right with some delicious...More

I visited Khorassan Restaurant on 11 Feb 2017 and I found it to be very pleasant. The neighborhood (Schwabing) is quiet, safe, and very nice. I arrived at 1850 and there were a few tables occupied; I was able to be seated immediately. I ordered a soup (#20 on the menu) and it was very good. For the mains I ordered a lamb kabob (#40 on the menu) and it was delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly and the two sauces that came with it accompanied the meat very well. The basmati rice was very good, too.Between the soup, the kabobs, and a drink the bill was €24. The servers were very attentive and pleasant. I recommend Khorassan highly and I would visit again.
