The beer is really good here. I live around the corner, so I’ve been here many times. I brought my Bavarian boyfriend here when we first started dating and he was surprised how Bavarian it was. The food is good, especially the sausages. It’s also...reasonably priced. The schnitzel is great and tastes really homemade. I wish they would bring back Schnitzeltag. The specials are always nice as well. Last time I was there, my boyfriend had there Forschungsschnitzel, and it was fantastic. My only complaint is that I had a Schweinsbraten that was not good. I know this dish is hard to get right, but it wasn’t tender and the flavor didn’t taste right. I’ll have to have it again when it’s a special of the day or something. I probably came on an off day because I know they can cook pork well. All in all, it’s worth the trip if you are visiting Munich and it lets you get away from the touristy areas. It gives a real Bavarian feel. But please bring back Schnitzeltag! I’d be back more often if it were all day on Mondays.

My family goes here every time in Europe. Good food and beer. Even have a playground area for the kids. Sit outside and enjoy the sounds and smells.

During our trip through Bavaria we visited or breweries and a handful of beer gardens. This was my favorite stop. It’s nestled in a residential area not far from public transportation. It’s a quaint establishment where locals and not tourists hang out. The...food is good and the beer is great. Up to this point in our trip I politely nursed most beers and maintained social decorum. Here I put away more than a liter before realizing the “veterans” hadn’t caught up. Good stuff. I wish I could get this in the States.

Had an awesome green beer here years ago and had to go back to see what the experimental brewery was up to. We arrived only just before closing, but got in for last call. The beers here are unique and tasty. If you like...beer, and are feeling adventurous, this little unassuming gem is waiting for you.
