Contribute FeedbackI chose this place after seeing several mentions in the Michelin Guide and some Raving reviews. I booked a table for 4 in the palmtree room well in advance as I wanted the full experience, this was the end of a trip with...friends I hadn't seen for over 2 years because of the pandemic. When we arrived, I informed that we had a booking. the waiter immediately said: the room is closed. I explained once again that we had a confirmed booking. he answered with sitting somewhere else and went away. we thought it was weird, but decided to stay. we found a table and waited for the menus. it took a long time, but finally the same guy (called hakan) came back only with the menus german. we did our best and were ready to order. the waiter took our orders, but one of my friends chose something from the breakfast part (not German, of course.) he replied that she could not order it in German. I somehow understood it, as I know something about the speech. I told him in English apology, she will need more time, then he replied in German he could not understand me. I repeated. He ignored me. my friend felt the print and ordered something random from the menu. he returned more than 15 minutes later with our commands. during our visit, he never checked whether the food is in order or whether we would like to order something. Instead he chose an animated chat with a group of young people who came in and ordered nothing. Finally, we decided that it was time to go. somehow I managed to get his attention and he returned with the bill after I had corrected myself in German when I asked for the bill in English. when we said, keep the change, he had absolutely no problems to understand English. we made us feel super disappointed as this should be a special tasty, because it was the worst experience we had. I wrote a long email to her and had no answer. they're just not important. By the way, I know that the English /German speaking situation was mentioned by people to other places, but we visited many other restaurants and had nothing else but a nice service of people who sometimes struggled with English, but tried their best. absolutely disgusting.
Very disappointing experience and do not recommend this place after several visits. In general the service is slow and unfriendly but our last visit made it clear that this place does not value its customers. So if you don’t to ruin your morning don’t go...there. My husband and I waited for 10 mins in line before hostess approached us. As we did not have a reservation she said we have to wait, so we stepped a side and waited. Two couples behind had reservation but the hostess did not offer them a table also and they also had to wait for some time because the place was full so I guess the overall management is bad. After additional 20 min of waiting and seeing that several tables freed up (plus no one apart from us was waiting for the table by that time) we approached the hostess asking if we can take the table which is now free. She very rudely said “didn’t you understand from the beginning that everything is reserved and you have to wait?”. Is this is what your tell your customers after they’ve waited for more than 30 mins to get a table? After that comment we instantly left the building and will never come back to this place, thanks to the “lovely” hostess with very rude attitude.
Slow service! Overpriced and poor quality. We had to wait 35 minutes for a piece of cake and a cup of tea on a weekday!
Ordered lamb and lasagna. Lasagna was ok nothing to complain about but also nothing great. The lamb on the other hand, was just unacceptable. I had a surprise, sharp, about 1cm big glass piece in the side of taboule. Luckily I had just started biting...down and it got caught between my teeth instead of in tongue or throat or worse! In the end did not pay for the lamb but NOTHING can excuse sharp glass in food.
We found this place as soon as we arrived in Munich after a long ride so we decided to stop for a small coffee and to go to the toilet. My mom and my boyfriend asked for a deca and I went to the bathroom....After that, my mom followed me there. We lost her phone and I then found it outside and I brought her coffee with me and and an employer started shouting at my mom she had to pay for her coffee in an aggressive way. She then stated she already paid and he kept going on saying she had to pay. After that my mom wanted to confront him about that as that’s not professional at all and just said he was “maleducato” which means he was RUDE. He then came to us saying we told him to f*ck off while we never said that and kept being rude even when we left. For such a nice MICHELIN GUIDE RATED RESTAURANT I don’t think this is an acceptable behavior. We have the waiter’s name in case the owner will reply to this review.
