Augustiner Burgerheim - München

Walked over from the Westpark Sheraton Hotel (about 10 minutes/.5 Miles. Great little neighborhood restaurant serving up great German meals. Had the Jäger­schnit­zel and it was excellent. Also had the grilled chicken salad. Everything was fresh and hand made. Sat and drank beer and watched World Cup Soccer if some neighborhood guys. If there was a German “Cheer’s Bar”, this would be it. Don’t miss the desert of fried apples and ice cream.

We made an online reservation for the beer hall on their web site. We arrived a bit early, found our names time and table number posted along with many others. We found our long heavy plank table with our name tent card . There were supposed to be about 10 other people at the table and that would not have been crowded. Only 2 other diners arrived. The wait staff were busy but helpful and brought us English menus. My wife doesn 't drink alcohol and doesn 't eat meat but easily found what she wanted. I had the special meat platter, a pretzel and the house beer. Excellent food and beer.

Overly crowded beer hall with reasonable food and great fresh beer. Too noisy, too crowded and much too warm for my taste.

Hands down the worst place I've been to in Munich these past 5 years. Service screwed up every single one of our 8 orders. It was so bad, it was actually funny. Food was okay-ish, about as good, as airline food in economy class. No hard feelings, just please don't go here.

My wife and I enjoyed a meal here in the evening sitting on one of the outside tables opposite a green. I wouldn't recommend sitting inside, it was a bit cramped.
