eating was fantastic, the staff was very welcoming, although it was about dealing with a party of different nationalities. I recommend the pork dishes especially with Bavarian noodles. beer View all feedback.
What Veronica Barrows doesn't like about Antonius Tenne:
found this place while looking for the opposite near our hotel for a drink that does not as if club or full of loud youth! this place is located in the first floor of a building, but when they come from one direction, they will not find it. we had already eaten so that the menu rejected, but it looked typical Bavarian food, and probably a lot of it. the tables were quite close together, and there are sitting at the b... We have been to this rather unlikely place many times and can only recommend everybody else does too. Typical Bavarian, quirky in English eyes, great service, traditional ambiance and disco hits from when I was young the open till late. We arrived and...stayed till early morning. The owner makes a mean fruit digestive Their prawns are fab. Locals and tourists frequent this place. It is difficult to find but worth persevering and around the Oktoberfest a good bet for drinks and nice food
I visited this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend, and I'm very glad I did. It is a little hidden away, but can be reached by bus from the centre or the If you take the Underground, be sure to leave by...the exit which leads to Margarethen Str, and look at the map before going. The interior was wonderfully cozy, lots of wood in fact I don't think there is any part of the wall or ceiling which is not covered in wood and it's a great spot for the evening. The menu is fairly extensive, and in the main Bavarian specialities, which are very well cooked. I had cream of broccoli soup with roasted pine nuts, which was delicious. For main course I opted for the Sendlinger Schnitzel; the portion was pretty sizeable, and the combination of flavours was delicious. I did have a little space for dessert homemade gingerbread ice cream with mulled wine coulis hit the spot and was absolute perfect. Our host was very friendly and looked after us very well, and overall this was a highly enjoyable evening
Found this place whilst searching the area near our hotel for somewhere to get a drink that wasn't pretending to be club or full of noisy youngsters! This place is on the first floor of a building but if you come at it from one...direction you won't find it. We had already eaten so declined the menu but it looked to be typical Bavarian food, and probably lots of it. Tables were fairly close to each other, and there are seats at the bar. We were a group of and there were couples there on a Sunday evening. Service was friendly and helpful helped us out by using their limited english to complement our limited german! Drinks were good usual choice! Decor is typical Bavarian too lots of food, mood lighting etc. Good place to spend the evening. Would have returned but it's closed on Mondays and Tuesdays!
