Just came back from a lovely light meal at this wine restaurant in the village of ZunZingen. We have often had a meal there but today was really relaxing and pleasant, sitting in the little garden at the side of the restaurant. The last rays of the evening sun shone on the leaves of the trees and all the little sparrows had a great feast visiting all the tables. As a vegetarian I am always happy to eat there as they do have dishes for us...not always the case! Had delicious mushroom risotto with mountain cheese baked in the oven followed by meringue with ice cream!!Their wine is one of the best and the service is impeccable.
Cozy small place, rustic and romantic restaurant. Sit outside in the beautiful garden to enjoy the mild climate from spring to autumn. The kitchen offers local food with a modern touch. The menu is small but nice. Staff is friendly!
A Gutsschänke is usually a casual kind of place. And that is also the case here. The restaurant is cosy and a little rustic, outdoor seating is romantic, in a walled enclosure with shade from vines and trees. The menu is not huge, but varied and interesting, including some tasty and interesting vegetarian options. Service is usually good and mostly friendly, but at times it can get very busy and waiting times increase. Wines are from their own winery, mostly whites and rose. They are good, but most wines of the area are, so they don't especially stand out. Pricing is a touch high for what you get, but not excessive. Overall a good experience.
They sit in the weinstube very nice inside and outside. the menu is very diverse, the very tasty eat, the wine selection great. the only thing we notice is the incomprehensibility, the word and the hardness of the operation. no friendly word, no welcome. but we still like to come here, sometimes there are also helpers who are more friendly.
To the 70th birthday of my mother-in-law we had ordered a menu with wine guided. the food (6 courses) was absolutely excellent, accompanied by really good weeping in very plentiful quantity (sect as aperitif, on each cure 1 wein, on a level even 2, 1 bottle sweet wine dessert.) all in a very pleasant, loose atmosphere and at an absolutely fair and reasonable price.
