Ratskeller - Muelheim an der Ruhr

Wer eine hochwertige, gediegene, eher bürgerliche Küche und ein entsprechendes Ambiente mag, dabei Wert auf Qualität und zuvorkommende Bedienung legt, ist hier richtig. Es gibt eine gute Auswahl verschiedenster Gerichte einschl. vegetarisch, die alle mit Sorgfalt und offenbar mit hochwertigen und frischen Zutaten zubereitet werden. Die Bedienung ist nett und freundlich, zuvorkommend und höflich. Die Sitzplätze und das Ambiente sind gemütlich gestaltet, so dass man sich sofort wohlfühlt. Das Publikum ist eher "bürgerlich", aber nichts erscheint "spießig." Obwohl wir auch gerne ungewöhnlichere Restaurants ausprobieren, waren wir schon oft hier und kommen gerne wieder.

Locale situato in pieno centro ampio e accogliente. Il servizio é stato cordiale e abbastanza celere. Tipica cucina tedesca (mare e terra) preparata in maniera soddisfacente anche se un po' pesante. Conto ragionevole (20, 25 euro a persona).

We had a corporate meal here, 15 or so people, everyone loved their food. nice service, reasonable prices. atmosphere was what you expect in an old German restaurant.

Visited for an evening meal, location was easy to find, staff were very friendly, menu quite extensive. I was seated quickly and immediately asked if I would like a drink basic but important, my drink arrived quickly as did my menu, which was given in English. There was a small issue with the wifi my laptop could connect easily enough but not my iPhone no big deal but a consideration for the owners as I tried the password at least 10 times and put it in my notes to check it was correct. I was served a small appetiser from the house a potato salad and meat loaf which was unexpected and lovely. My food arrived and it was very tasty, they had a good selection of wines served in a small carafe more than enough for a single traveler . On the whole a nice experience good food and friendly staff, I'd be happy to eat here again.

This is the 5th time I have visited this restaurant and it never disappoints. The friendly wait staff and the delicious food makes this a favorite place in Duisburg.
