Maria Waldrast - Gasthaus - Servitenkloster

We visited here on a beautiful autumn day and the place was packed for Sunday lunch. We got the cable car up at Meiders but you can also drive up. There were no tables left on the terrace but we managed to find a table...inside after a short wait. We were informed we may have to wait an hour for food due to being so busy but it turned up after just 20 minutes. The food was very good and well priced for the location. The surrounding area is breath taking. We would definitely go back but maybe on a week day when its quieter.

The food was good (kapressknödel suppe and salat with smoked trout.) the service was friendly, warm and that although the gas house was superb (incl. garden.) the waiting period was bearable, but surely still has potential up. in any case a great excursion destination, even the children's playground helps families very much.

During each hike in this opposite is a visit there obligatory.Good suppening, moderate prices and beautiful ambiente.

Met de kabelbaan vanuit Mieders,een mooie wandeling ,naar maria waldrast. mensen die moeilijk te been zijn kunnen ook vanaf de kabelbaan met een treintje naar maria waldrast. boven aangekomen zie je een mooi kapel en een goed restaurant.
